Telerehabilitation on Embodia

Embodia provides an in-house telerehab solution that allows running one-on-one consults (up to 120 minutes per consult). This solution is HIPAA and PIPEDA-compliant. If you prefer running your consult through Zoom, Embodia also integrates with Zoom to allow you to connect your own Zoom for Healthcare account for Telerehabilitation, including group consults.

Note: to use Zoom for healthcare applications, your account needs to be covered under Zoom for Healthcare (you can learn more here).

Once you're an Embodia Member, you can connect your own Zoom for Healthcare account to run telerehab consults through Zoom. By connecting your Zoom account to Embodia, you will allow Embodia to manage meetings on Zoom on your behalf so when you schedule a telerehab consult on Embodia, a corresponding meeting on Zoom will be automatically created.

Adding your Zoom account to Embodia

To add your Zoom account to Embodia, click on Consults > My telerehab accounts and then Connect my Zoom account:

Setting the recording settings on your Zoom account

When you're scheduling a consult through Embodia (more on this in the help article, Scheduling an online consult), you will have the option to automatically start local recording when the consult starts. For this to work, you need to set the proper settings on your Zoom account to enable Local recording. To do so, click on Settings in the sidebar, then on the Recording tab, and then toggle the Local recording setting.
